Travel Sanctioning

Guidelines:

• Travel permits are required for all tournaments, exhibition games and training outside of Alberta
• District Associations, the Alberta Soccer Association, and the Canadian Soccer Association will only approve travel to sanctioned tournaments, training and exhibition games
• All completed travel forms and payment must be submitted at least 30 days prior to departure – the Alberta Soccer Association will not process travel permits without payment
• Please make all payments payable to the Alberta Soccer Association

Traveling EMSA teams out of province are required to follow this process:

1. Download and fill in the Alberta Soccer Association Travel Permit form
2. Submit completed permit to EMSA for signature along with the $50.00 + GST administration fee (payable to Alberta Soccer Association)
3. EMSA will submit the permit to Alberta Soccer Association (ASA) for approval
4. ASA will return all approved travel permits to EMSA
5. EMSA will return approved permit to team

Travel to sanctioned tournaments inside the United States:

1. Download and complete the ASA Travel Permit, ASA Travel Permit Summary and Roster
2. Birthdates are required for all players and coaches listed on the official roster
3. Submit all completed forms, the administration fee of $100.00 + GST, and $1.50/person/day (payable to Alberta Soccer Association) for all coaches and players to your District Association (Please note, GST on the $1.50/person fee applies to coaches and players who are 16 and older on the date of departure)
4. Approved travel permits will be returned to the District Association

Travel to sanctioned tournaments outside of the United States and Canada:

1. Download and complete the ASA Travel Permit, ASA Travel Permit Summary and Roster
2. Birthdays are required for all players and coaches listed on the official roster
3. Submit all completed forms, the administration fee of $200.00 + GST, and $1.50/person/day (payable to Alberta Soccer Association) for all coaches and players to your District Association (Please note, GST on the $1.50/person fee applies to coaches and players who are 16 and older on the date of departure)
4. Travel permits will be sent from the ASA to the Canadian Soccer Association for approval
5. Approved travel permits will be returned to the ASA and then to the District Association
